Kendriya Vidyalaya's own building was constructed in 1980. Its foundation stone was laid by Admiral Jal Cursetji, PVSM, Chief of Naval Staff, on 9 Feb, 1978. After the completion of construction of building, the inauguration was done by HE Governer of Gujarat Smt Sharda Mukherjee on 27th Aug 1980. Later in 1987, 16 more class rooms were constructed as a separate block, in which all the classes of primary are running now.
The renovation of VIdyalaya building and staff quarters was done after the severe earth quake of JAn-2001 and the inauguration of the renovated Vidyalaya building was done by Sh P. K. Aggrawal, Dy Commissioner Finance (KVS) on 28.12.2001.
The Vidyalaya building and staff quarters had undergone special repairs in 2008-09. Under special repairs, whole roof area of Vidyalaya building and staff quarters was repaired and pasted with 3 mm APP modified membrane under the roof treatment work. Old electrical wiring was dismantled and entire fresh electrical wiring was done in Vidyalaya building a nd the staff quarters.
The Vidyalaya is also one of the model schools of KVS and Rs 15 lakh were provided by the KVS under this head for addition and improvement of infrastructure. |
