The Genesis of the KV
 
The Kendriya Vidyalaya INS Valsura was established in 1972 in the defence sector (Navy) to cater to the educational needs of Navy children.This defence base is about 15 km from the city of Jamnagar, remotely located.

The Vidyalaya was initially started up to class X in 1972 and functioned for eight years in the accommodation provided by the Navy.
